Gift Planning
Ways to Leave a Lasting Legacy
The American Health Assistance Foundation (AHAF) invites you to become a member of the Heritage Society. You become a member once you inform us that you have designated AHAF or its programs as a beneficiary of your gift planning documents. At such time, your name will be added to our Heritage Society Donor Board, which is displayed in AHAF’s lobby at our headquarters in Clarksburg, Maryland.
To become a Heritage Society Member, please click here or contact Barbara Spitzer at 1-800-437-2423 ext. 138.
AHAF uses the term “Gift Planning” for it is the donor’s choice to donate now as well as to include a gift for our charity in their long-term planning.
Gift planning is a way for you to help us fight Alzheimer’s disease, macular degeneration and glaucoma. It may also enable you to receive a stream of income for life, provide a charitable income tax deduction, and reduce or eliminate estate taxes. The bequest you make will serve as a significant tribute to your legacy.
Gift planning is a way for you to have a legal record of your wishes concerning the distribution of your assets after your death. More importantly, you will leave a lasting symbol of your love to all those people, both family and friends, who have been such an important part of your life. It is important to select the best gift planning options that meet your financial and philanthropic goals.
There are many ways you can leave a lasting legacy. Please click on the buttons on the left side of this page for more detailed description of each option. Please contact Barbara Spitzer at 301-948-3244.
